If you are a California resident, starting January 1, 2020, you have a right to notice of our collection of consumer personal information, as defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, Civil Code §1798.100 et seq. (CCPA). This Notice is to provide you with information regarding our collection of consumer personal information. All terms are used in this Notice as defined in the CCPA or applicable regulations thereunder.
Subject to certain exceptions and limitations, personal information is any information that directly or indirectly identifies, describes, relates to, is capable of being associated with, or can reasonably link to a particular consumer or household. The categories of personal information that we collect and the description of each of those categories are set forth in the section below:
A real name, user name, mobile phone number, mobile device ID, Internet Protocol address, email address.
A name, telephone number, date of birth, gender.
Age, date of birth, gender.
Browsing history, search history, information on a consumer's interaction with a website, application, or advertisement.
Physical location or movements.
Profile reflecting a person's preferences, characteristics resulting or relating to Current Points acquired and rewards redeemed.
The business or commercial purpose(s) for which we collect and use the categories of personal information specified above is to identify you, establish and maintain your Current Points account, and provide you with opportunities (and/or in the furtherance of on-going opportunities) for you to earn Current Points or other benefits through our consumer rewards services. Such opportunities may include offers, surveys, search, watching video and other online and offline activities. In addition, we collect and use these categories of information in order to provide and share such information with selected service providers and third parties, such as research firms, advertising networks, internet service providers, data analytics providers, government entities, operating systems and platforms, social networks, and consumer data resellers from time to time for our or for such service provider’s or third party’s business or commercial purposes.
Starting January 1, 2021, and updated each year thereafter (if and as required by the CCPA), Current will publish a summary of statistical data pertaining to the following categories of California-resident consumer privacy requests: (1) “Requests to Know”, (2) “Requests to Delete”, and (3) “Requests to Opt-Out of Sale”.
The statistical data Current will publish will include: (A) the number of requests Current received in each category of California-resident consumer privacy request, (B) the number such requests that Current complied with in (in whole or in part), (C) the number of such requests which Current denied and (D) the median number of days within which such requests were responded to.
